lnternational Health Tourism Federation (HTFED) is an acknowledged worldwide platform tor lnternational Congress Events and Standard Healthcare and Tourism, founded in Turkey.
We create network of leaders in medical, spa and alternative tourism industry, including local and global partnerships. Our primary objective is to discuss newest technology and business goals in the healthcare sector.

Health Tourism Federation(HTFED) is a noted knowledge platform for International Standard Healthcare and Tourism in Turkey. The primary objective is to discuss on acute Technology Issues and Business Challenges currently faced in the Healthcare Sector. It therefore, provide insights on practical knowledge of the latest and most recent developments.

This will be another opportunity to interact with leaders in medical tourism industry, both from local and global partnerships. This will be a platform for Hospitals, Medical Tourism Facilitators, Insurance Companies, Medical Technology Manufactures, Wellness, Hospitality Industry, Healthcare investors and Pharma companies to meet & associate.

In the first stage, we will communicate with the best health centers that have good quality and cost in different countries. We have a medical and business contracts with international hospitals and tourism sectors so that we can provide to our customers with the necessary facilities.
The International Federation of Health Tourism has started its activities since 2014, which has so far managed to put more than dozens of associations into its management.

 

 

What is Health Tourism?

Health Tourism covers those types of tourism which have as a primary motivation, the contribution to physical, mental and/or spiritual health through medical and wellness-based activities which increase the capacity of individuals to satisfy their own needs and function better as individuals in their environment and society.

Health Tourism is the umbrella term for the subtypes: 

• Wellness Tourism: Wellness Tourism is a type of tourism activity which aims to improve and balance all of the main domains of human life including physical, mental, emotional, occupational, intellectual and spiritual. The primary motivation for the wellness tourist is to engage in preventive, proactive, lifestyle-enhancing activities such as fitness, healthy eating, relaxation, pampering and healing treatments.
• Medical Tourism: Medical Tourism is a type of tourism activity which involves the use of evidence-based medical healing resources and services (both invasive and non-invasive). This may include diagnosis, treatment, cure, prevention and rehabilitation.

UTSAF Membership Benefits

International Health Tourism and Business Federation (UTSAF) Membership means accessibility to the global market of health, and through communicating with representatives and branches, the patients and other people in different countries can submit the requests for medical and health tourism services. The initial health services providers’ information has been shared by central organization. The patients and people refer to the partner centers and related services providers by the central or representative office.
UTSAF International Center for Admission and Referral in the Central Organization, in coordination with the representative offices or branches of health tourism destination, refers the patient to a related and eligible medical or health center.

International Health Tourism and Business Federation (UTSAF) will provide all health care support services, including providing tickets via partner travel agencies, accommodation and hotel reservation in partner hotels, providing interpreters and tour leaders if necessary, and procurement the medical equipment and supplies required from medical equipment companies and pharmaceuticals, as well as the use of insurance facilities, and etc. 

Participation in UTSAF’ congresses and meetings with support and funding by UTSAF; Coordination and allocation of non-UTSAF educational opportunities and scholarships with discounts by UTSAF membership letter; Legal protection of representatives and members in different countries; Authorizing members and representatives to use the UTSAF logo in promotional and educational packages; Participating in international exhibitions by UTSAF introducing letter; the chance to attend B2B meetings; and others spiritual and financial profits.

Elite and Health Tourism professionals and professors from partner universities are also eligible for honorary membership according to UTSAF official regulations.

UTSAF Membership

International Health Tourism and Business Federation (UTSAF) is committed to provide the infrastructures for development of health tourism related knowledge and technology within the international community. In this way, various countries’ representatives have been appointed and the official offices or branches are active.
International Health Tourism and Business Federation (UTSAF) has established its headquarters in Ankara, Tehran, Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, and regional and country representative offices and branches in Iraq, India, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Bulgaria, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Serbia, Sweden, United Kingdom, Italy and etc.
International Health Tourism and Business Federation (UTSAF) representatives are often high-level officers and entrepreneurs in the areas of tourism and health whose competences has reviewed and confirmed by Membership Committee in the central organization, and then membership or representative assignment issued by the president of the federation. The copy of the assignment letter will be sent to the relevant ministries and organizations in the country through official correspondences.

International Health Tourism and Business Federation (UTSAF) representative is authorized to introduce a qualified person for Director General of Country Office position to the central office. The official representative of the federation may also choose to select eligible representatives in the regions or provinces of that country and establish regional or provincial offices.
International Health Tourism and Business Federation (UTSAF) Representative assignment is considered as must criteria for role-play in the international health market. So, official representatives should, in accordance with national laws and regulations, obtain other permits from the relevant authorities, including the ministries of health, Tourism, work and/or social services and etc.

InternatIonal Health Tourism and Businessness Federation (UTSAF) was established in March 2014. Ths Federation managing by Dr. Fariba NAZARI (PhD in Tourism Management Education from GazI Unversity and researcher in Health Toursim), in collaboration of some tourism and health professionals. The central organizaton is located in Ankara.
